Honouring & Building Community Strength

Serving Indigenous communities is central to both how and why we do our work. This is because our communities are the foundation of who we are, our teachings and our strength. Community care, healing and medicine are what sustain us in this work. Giving back reflects a protocol and custom of healing the circle and engaging in reciprocity.

LPC holds at the center of our work our responsibilities to care. To uplift Indigenous communities, families, Elders and the next generation.

"Giving back is about healing the circle, about honouring the medicine and teachings we have received from our relatives"

Supporting Indigenous Housing in BC

In 2023, LPC was proud to host Indigenous Resurgence, Resilience and Resistance: A Gathering in Honour of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. This gathering brought together 185 Indigenous leaders, clients, and the LPC family to share an evening dedicated to hearing stories of Indigenous resilience, resistance, and resurgence from Indigenous activists and leaders. All proceeds from this event were donated to BC Indigenous Housing Society (BCIHS) to support the good work they are doing to improve housing accessibility for Indigenous Peoples in BC. Artists from the BCIHS Artist's Residency Program featured their work at the event.

This event was the beginning of an ongoing relationship with BCIHS. In 2025, LPC supported the planning and sponsored BCIHS's Rowing Together Gala to fundraise and uplift leaders in Indigenous Housing.

LPC believes that every community member deserves access to attainable, safe, sustainable and culturally relevant housing. We are proud to provide ongoing support to the important work of BCIHS wherever possible.

Expanding our Impact
