About the Course
This training explores the definition of appropriation in respect to Indigenous Peoples and how the concept differs from cultural appreciation. This course will discuss the historical context of why appropriation is an important conversation, and examples of present-day cultural appropriation. Participants will also reflect on common appropriation pitfalls within organizations, and how to respond to these instances with an Indigenous cultural appreciation lens.Â
